Iriska’s Story

Iriska, a kitten who had a difficult start to life, was rescued by Natalya Korneeva, A2U’s chief Ukrainian liaison officer to our fuzzy feline friends. When she was found, Iriska was suffering from various illnesses and a painful abscess on her cheek.

Natalya provided comprehensive care, including a veterinary visit to drain the abscess, antibiotics, and all her necessary vaccinations and lab tests. But most importantly, she gave Iriska a loving home with plenty of food and affection.

Thanks to Natalya’s care, Iriska has transformed from a frail kitten into a healthy young cat. She is now ready to find her forever home and “interviewing humans” to find her new chief of staff. Check back here often for updates..

Help Cats Land On Their Feet

Some Ukrainian cats, like Iriska, aren’t ready for a new home right away. Many of these cats need a month or two of special care to help them recover from stress and malnutrition.

Your donations help cat lovers in Ukraine provide this crucial support. This loving care allows cats to recover and, in time, become “supervisors” of their human companions, bringing warmth, comfort, and joy to families who need them.
